What We’re Doing

Welcome to our NCAA Totals betting article.  As your author, I want you to get to know me and the process I have been building.  As a degenerate gambler and an avid Daily Fantasy Sports (DFS) lover, I have been working on a process to live by for NCAA Basketball totals.  I have been playing DFS for nearly a decade now, mostly for the NFL, but I will dabble in other sports as well.  Make sure to follow me on X (@trevors_FF) for my DFS takes, but today is all about the best plays in college basketball.  

The Model

Once Football season ended last year, I found myself yearning for a good product and tool to bet on something.  As I began searching and dialing in different formulas, I found one that I have settled into and has worked quite well.  Last season, between February through the end of March Madness, the model hit at a 60% clip.  Since starting it back up again this season, around mid-January, it has been hitting at a 56% clip.  I am confident enough in this model that I am ready to pass along the plays for free to our readers at Bite-Size Sports!  

Recap

A losing night from the model.  Not ever what we want to see but as we remember we are gambling and can’t win them all. All 3 of our over plays missed and the later the night got the less the plays hit.  At one point we had 5 straight losses.  SJSU vs SDSU in the nightcap at least left us wanting more with a nice close W! Overall we went 5-7 but the POTD hits again so that helps with our units.  Down 1.5 units from Tuesday we will look to bounce back

February 28th Plays

Each day, I will provide a Play of the Day.  This is the strongest play I find on the slate and one I am transparently laying 2 units on. Otherwise, I am laying 1U on the rest of the plays I provide here.  

We’re in a bit of a slump recently.  Although that happens I strongly believe if we stick to our units and continue following the model we will see an overall positive outcome!  Two more days left in the month let’s finish strong! Today we have 18 total plays and more over plays than normal.  Most days we are weighted more towards the unders but with 10 over plays let’s hope for some fireworks in the scoring columns tonight!   

Play of the day – Tulsa vs UTSA – Under 158.5

Let’s take our play of the day way down South to the bottom of the American League.  Two teams who have struggled to find wins and quite frankly recently struggled to find points.  Both teams averaging less than 70 points per game over the last month makes me scratch my head at this line.  158.5 points is a line these teams just do not touch in their recent games.  The defenses are suspect but I don’t believe there’s enough fire power here to push this high line.  The model has this line at 140.5 points, one of the largest discrepancies I have seen before.  Smash the under with your 2 units!
