What We’re Doing

Welcome to our NCAA Totals betting article.  As your author, I want you to get to know me and the process I have been building.  As a degenerate gambler and an avid Daily Fantasy Sports (DFS) lover, I have been working on a process to live by for NCAA Basketball totals.  I have been playing DFS for nearly a decade now, mostly for the NFL, but I will dabble in other sports as well.  Make sure to follow me on X (@trevors_FF) for my DFS takes, but today is all about the best plays in college basketball.  

The Model

Once Football season ended last year, I found myself yearning for a good product and tool to bet on something.  As I began searching and dialing in different formulas, I found one that I have settled into and has worked quite well.  Last season, between February through the end of March Madness, the model hit at a 60% clip.  Since starting it back up again this season, around mid-January, it has been hitting at a 56% clip.  I am confident enough in this model that I am ready to pass along the plays for free to our readers at Bite-Size Sports!

Although I am sharing a few picks on X and all my picks on Discord, if you want to be first and get the picks before the lines move, you will want to check out this article each day!  Here is how yesterday went. 

We couldn’t have asked for a stronger success rate for our first big slate of games and passed out 16 free picks. Our Play of the Day (POTD) is scorching hot now, easily hitting the last 4 days.  But furthermore, the model in general is printing money for us!  11 – 4 yesterday overall with one of the losses a true bad beat.  The Wofford vs Chattanooga games ended at 146 points and over the 145.5 total line.  Tyler Milling of the Mocs drained a 3 pointer with 19 seconds left and at the time they were up 78-65.  The 3-pointer was unnecessary, just let the shot clock run out!  That made 3-pointer with less than 20 seconds on the clock makes it a 81-65 game, that’s the final score as we get the hook!   Oh what could’ve been, but that’s the highs and lows of betting on anything, especially sports.  Even with a bad beat we still ended the day 12-4 well over 8 units won on the day!  Let’s look at how they ended up:

February 22nd Plays

Each day, I will provide a Play of the Day.  This is the strongest play I find on the slate and one I am transparently laying 2 units on. Otherwise, I am laying 1U on the rest of the plays I provide here.  

Thursday nights in college basketball brings a lot less heavy hitters in terms of name brand teams.  However, the lines are still very beatable which makes for good reason to watch these lower level teams.  Teams like Little Rock and Southeast Missouri St or Stetson and Queens; you may not know much about them but the model sure likes to target their totals!  After a larger volume of play Wednesday night, we won’t shy away tonight but with 64 games on tap we actually have a lot less plays than one may expect.  Just 13 total plays tonight as many were close but we are only providing the plays the check all of the boxes!  Let’s get into it. 

Play of the day – Charleston vs Delaware U153.5

I couldn’t tell you much about either team when it comes to X’s and O’s nor Jimmy and Joes.  But the model absolutely loves the under for this game.  With a line 12.5 points lower than the 153.5 total on Fanduel, I’d bet this line even if it moved down a point or two before you read this.  Get to know the Cougars and Blue Hens while we look to hit 5 straight Plays of the Day!
