What We’re Doing

Welcome to our NCAA Totals betting article.  As your author, I want you to get to know me and the process I have been building.  As a degenerate gambler and an avid Daily Fantasy Sports (DFS) lover, I have been working on a process to live by for NCAA Basketball totals.  I have been playing DFS for nearly a decade now, mostly for the NFL, but I will dabble in other sports as well.  Make sure to follow me on X (@trevors_FF) for my DFS takes, but today is all about the best plays in college basketball.

The Model

Once Football season ended last year, I found myself yearning for a good product and tool to bet on something.  As I began searching and dialing in different formulas, I found one that I have settled into and has worked quite well.  Last season, between February through the end of March Madness, the model hit at a 60% clip.  Since starting it back up again this season, around mid-January, it has been hitting at a 56% clip.  I am confident enough in this model that I am ready to pass along the plays for free to our readers at Bite-Size Sports!

Recap

Although I am sharing a few picks on X and all my picks on Discord, if you want to be first and get the picks before the lines move, you will want to check out this article each day!  Here is how yesterday went.

UVA vs Va Tech – Over 126.5 ❌

SC State vs Howard – Under 150.5 ✅

Morgan St vs Delaware St – Under 144.5 ✅

William and Mary vs Charleston – Under 150.5 ✅

Florida A&M vs Alcorn St – Under 138.5❌

Bethune-Cookman vs Jackson St – Under 147.5 ✅

Iowa St vs Houston – Over 128.5 ✅

Play of the Day – Arkansas Pine Bluff vs Alabama A&M – Under 154.5 ✅

The night started with a game in which we were worried about UVA’s defense not allowing the game to hit the over.  Ultimately, it was their offense that failed us. Then in the nightcap just 51 points were scored in the first half between Iowa St and Houston leaving us nervous.  It took 39 minutes of game play before the over hit but nonetheless it hit!  The play of the day wasn’t even a sweat as it ended closer to the model’s line (137.5) than the betting line (154.5).  Overall a great first day providing our picks for free finishing 6-2 up 4.3 units.

Year to Date

I will track our picks year to date from the date we started sharing an article (Feb 19th), which included Feb 18th plays as well.

POTD – 2-0 100%

All Plays – 11-5 68.75%

February 20th Plays

Each day, I will provide a Play of the Day.  This is the strongest play I find on the slate and one I am transparently laying 2 units on. Otherwise, I am laying 1U on the rest of the plays I provide here.

On Tuesday I only found 6 plays out of the 27 games being played.  There were plenty of really tight lines for today, a couple of them that were close to being played but ultimately a lower volume day from the model.  Let’s check them out.

Play of the day – Ball St vs Northern Illinois U146.5

This isn’t the strongest play of the day I have had but it definitely qualifies.  The model line is just a 7 point difference and usually I like them to be at least double digits differences.  However, this play ends up as the Play of the Day because when we look at these two teams they are rarely getting over 140 points recently.  In fact, neither team has had a game over this 145.5 point mark in the month of February.  The lack of games touching this line plus the healthy 7 point differential in lines makes this our play of the day!

Here are the remaining plays for Feb 20th.

Tennessee vs Missouri – Over 146.5

Arkansas vs Texas A&M – Over 145.5

Bowling Green vs Central Michigan – Under 138.5

Maryland vs Wisconsin – Over 130.5

TCU vs Texas Tech – Under 148.5

Tail at your own risk, and thank you for supporting Bite-Size Sports.  I hope I can do the research and provide the model plays to help you win some money!  Welcome to the ride as we get into the pinnacle of college basketball season.
