An MRI determined that the All-Star’s season was over.

The Memphis Grizzlies are having a terrible day off as it has been reported that superstar Ja Morant will miss the rest of the season to undergo surgery on a labrum tear in his shoulder.

Morant suffered the injury during a practice session over the weekend, causing the recently returned All-Star to miss last Sunday’s game against the Phoenix Suns

Ja joins Steven Adams on the Grizzlies’ injured list. This season has been a nightmare for Memphis, who sit at 13-23 and are currently 4.5 games behind the Los Angeles Lakers for the last play-in spot.

An MRI determined that Morant would need to undergo season-ending surgery to recover completely. The good news for Grizzlies fans is that Morant is expected to recover fully before the 2024-25 season starts.
